BOARDING

As an added service to our clients we provide boarding for dogs, cats and exotic pets.  Our professional staff of veterinary assistants and technicians care for your pet during his stay with us. A veterinarian is available seven days a week should your pet require treatment for any reason. Owners of elderly pets, pets with chronic conditions, and pets on medication will have the added comfort of knowing their pet will be cared for by skilled professionals while they are away.

Reservations should be made in advance, particularly during holidays or school vacations.  Any pet found to have fleas, ticks or intestinal parasites will be treated at the owner’s expense. You will be asked to fill out a boarding form when you drop off your pet that gives us information about your pet’s diet and health. If you prefer, you may fill it out online and it will automatically be emailed to us, or you can download the form from our website, fill it out at home and bring it with you when you drop off your pet or email it to us ahead of time.  Please allow 72 hours time to process your form.

Dogs and cats must be current on their vaccinations: DHPP, Rabies, Bordatella (kennel cough) and Influenza for dogs and FVRCP and Rabies for cats, and have a negative fecal examination for parasites within the last year.

If your pet should become ill during boarding, your pet will be examined immediately by one of our doctors and, if needed, treatment will be started until your return or we are able to contact you.  We will make every effort to contact you if the condition is at all serious or requires extensive diagnostics or treatment.  Owners will be responsible for any charges related to their pet’s illness.

For your convenience, we can perform any needed procedures while your pet is here boarding, such as dental cleaning, recommended elective surgical procedures, annual physical examination, pedicures, microchipping or baths.  Please let the receptionist know when you schedule your boarding appointment that you’d like these procedures done while your pet is staying with us.

Please call ahead before picking up your pet as some pets may require some clean up before going home.
