Dr. Edward G. Senker

Dr. Senker received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine in 1969. A native of Baltimore, Maryland, Dr. Senker received his undergraduate degree from the University of Maryland. Following graduation from veterinary school, he practiced small animal medicine in Stamford, Connecticut from 1969 to 1978, and in 1979 founded the Broad River Animal Hospital. He is past president and current member of the Fairfield County Veterinary Medical Association, the Connecticut Veterinary Medical Association, the American Veterinary Medical Association, the American Animal Hospital Association, and an associate member of the American Academy of Veterinary Dermatology. Dr. Senker has been certified in veterinary acupuncture since 1994.

 

Dr. John A. Stramaglia

Dr. Stramaglia received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Bologna, Italy in 1985. A native of Fairfield County, he graduated from Darien High School and attended Syracuse University, earning his BS in biology. Dr. Stramaglia is also licensed to practice veterinary medicine throughout Europe. Dr. Stramaglia joined the Broad River Animal Hospital in 1986 and became partner in 1995. His areas of interest include canine and feline internal medicine, endoscopy, and greyhound rescue. He is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Connecticut Veterinary Medical Association, the Fairfield Veterinary Medical Association and the American Animal Hospital Association.


Dr. Michele K. Lamothe

Dr. Lamothe received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Cornell University New York State College of Veterinary Medicine in 1990. Before joining the Broad River Animal Hospital in 1994, she practiced in New York and Pennsylvania, and spent three years as a part-time emergency veterinarian. In 1999, Dr. Lamothe became a partner of the Broad River Animal Hospital. Dr. Lamothe's professional interests include soft tissue and orthopedic surgery, geriatric medicine, feline medicine and surgery and ultrasound. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, Fairfield County Veterinary Medical Association, Connecticut Veterinary Medical Association and the American Animal Hospital Association.

 


Dr. Elizabeth M. Zimels

Dr. Zimels grew up in Chappaqua, New York, and lived in New York City for five years, where she earned her BA at Columbia, and worked as a paralegal. She then decided to pursue veterinary medicine, fulfilling the prerequisites for veterinary school at California Polytechnic San Luis Obispo, and completing her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at Michigan State University in 1996. Dr. Zimels worked at Broad River Animal Hospital from 1997-2002, and is happy to have returned in 2006 after practicing for four years in Fairfield. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, Fairfield Veterinary Medical Association and the American Animal Hospital Association. Dr. Zimels is interested in soft tissue surgery and supporting the human-animal bond.

Dr. Laura Leigh Frazier

Dr. Frazier grew up in Old Lyme, Connecticut, and received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Connecticut in 1985. She received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Cornell University New York State College of Veterinary Medicine in 1989, and has been practicing in New York and Connecticut since graduation. Dr. Frazier joined Broad River Animal Hospital in August of 2007. Her interests include medicine and soft tissue surgery. Dr. Frazier is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, Fairfield County Veterinary Medical Association, Connecticut Veterinary Medical Association, and the American Animal Hospital Association. She is also a USDA accredited veterinarian.
